While we were docked
another cruise ship came in bow first.

Then using its side-thrusters, it rotated its stern to the dock and then backed behind our stern. No tug boats. |

Here is our view of the
Acropolis. It’s being repaired for
years. We decided not to climb 500
steps, in 90 degree heat, to get a close-up. In 1962 I did make the
climb. But then I weighed 140 pounds. |

In the Plaka
we had lunch. In a surprise move, Paula
had a Greek salad. That is a slab of
Feta cheese.
I had a Muzaka. Sort of a lasagna. It was
terrific.
Back in Santa Monica I had a musaka that was terrible, shattering my fantasy.

On the wall was a fan with
a mist hose that kept us cool. In my
previous business we paid thousands to accomplish the same thing!!!! |
|
Then we rushed to the bus and then back to the ship.
Missing the ship was Paula's major concern. We were told of a couple of Japanese tourists who missed the boat.
As we sailed away we were
accompanied by birds. This on held
still while I took its picture. |
