The Differences Between Democrats and Republicans
A dialog between Dennis Lazar, my Brother, and me.
The Following was written in response to a Dennis Prager column on why Jews and Blacks should be Republicans:
First and foremost, Jews recognize that the GOP is the country club party and the country club doesn't admit Jews.
Jews and Blacks, who are Republicans, look and smell like tokens. Humanitarian Jewish positions, such as caring for the medically uninsured or the hungry are not GOP positions.
Prager selectively points out that more Republicans than Democrats voted for civil rights in the 60's. What he ignores is that the Democrats that voted against civil rights in the 60's are now mostly Republicans.
The GOP believes that the rich should get richer. And that the fools should believe they will be rich. The rich are the few who have more than the majority. The majority can never be rich by definition. The GOP serves the rich and the wanabees. The Democrats seek to serve the majority.

Say it isn't so,
Cliff.
You can't possibly swallow that line.

Dennis,
What part of the facts aren't true?
Are the GOP in favor of health care for the majority?
Does the GOP want the rich to pay taxes?
Does the GOP want to spend lots of money on defense?
When the government runs big deficits as they did during Regan do interest rates on home loans go down?
Who pays high interest costs?
============
Dennis,
I know you identify with the rich, but are you rich?
Do you get the ring side seats? Do you fly first class?
Did you avoid service in the Air Guard the way Bush did?
Do you have maid service?
Do you have to work?
Do you kids have a leg up in the family corporation?
S***, I don't think you're rich. And I don't think you ever will be rich. Why do you want to kiss their asses?

=====================
Yes Cliff, I AM rich.
You're not rich, you're comfortable. And that's
fine. And it's good that you're happier paying taxes at a higher percentage that
the real rich.
Not the way you suggest, perhaps. But l live where l want....the way l want.
That's rich enough for me.
As a matter of fact, I DO have ringside seats, though they're in the upper deck.
So what!
I have a housecleaner once a week. So what! The rich
don't have to cook or wash dishes.
I might not fly first class. So what! Is that your measure of being rich?
First class is where you get to meet the rich folks and make contacts and deals.
Have you swallowed the "it's us against them" party line? It's
us against them if my tax dollars subsidize their private school, protect their
properties overseas, pay for their sub-minimum wage employees' medical aid.
And we should loathe
our country because it's been so successful? I don't
loathe the country and it was very successful under Clinton. Not so under
Bush.
And should l keep crying about the last election being stolen by an illiterate buffoon?
I'd rather move on. If by moving on, you mean having
fair elections in the future, that's fine. If you mean they get to cheat
on the next election that's not fine.
And whose ass am l kissing? The rich who live
differently than you.
I'm
not begging for a government that wants to regulate my life. Like
banning abortions, outlawing drugs, preventing stem cell research. The GOP
principles.
