Measure the distance between the left edge of each knob.

Standard Template Instructions

If the distance is 3 inches then select the top template and if the distance is 2.25” select the middle template.  Otherwise Click Customizing.

You are going to need a scissors and a marking pen.

In this case, the distance was 2.25”, so cut out the middle template.

Cut out the template along the dark black lines.  Cut the angle-line on the left to the circle and the cut out the circle.  Then cut the right slot.

Slide the angle line cut over the left knob.  Then drop the right slot over the neck of the right knob.

If it fits, then you can proceed.

If the sides of the right slot are rubbing against the neck of the right knob, cut a little off of the rubbing side until you are able to drop the template into the horizontal position.

Tracing
Now place the plastic latch over the template so the left edges line up and the circles line up.

Now trace over the right edge of the template and then trace the edges of the right slot.

Remember what Ross Perot said:

“Measure twice; cut once.”

After you cut the trace lines on the latch, cut with the scissors.  This is what the result will look like.

Do NOT use a razor or Exacto knife.

You will get a beautifully clear, durable, high quality plastic latch.

Peal the protective film from the front and the back of the latch.

When complete, slide the latch slide the angle-cut over the neck of the left knob.

Presto!  You now have a nearly invisible latch that you can open and close with the flick of a finger.
