Paula and I took a bus for 6 pesos each from Club Med to Zihuatanejo.  This shopping area is three blocks north of the main boulevard.  Two blocks to the east is the harbor.

You can buy tee shirts, sandals, shoes, food.
The man wanted me to buy a hammock.  I told him they were very colorful but I didn't have a pair of trees.

This store faces the harbor.  It has folkloric carvings from $10 to $250.

The owner noticed my digital camera and we then talked of his Fujifilm camera, of which he was very proud.  He uses his camera to make pictures for the web sites that he builds for clients.

Here is a closer view of some of the masks.
You can get here by following the signs to the Capitain de Puerto.
Local fishermen
The Fat Mermaid is the place to eat on the waterfront if you don't mind guilt by association.

To get back we bargained for a cab.  The driver started at $10 and we agreed to $8 for the 30 minute ride.

Later at Club Med the cab drivers wanted $5 for a one minute ride to Playa Linda.
