Tel Aviv has ads for everything

Chabad built a replica of Scheerson’s Brooklyn Office in Ramat Gan (and on Pico in LA).  He never went to Israel.

At the Tel Maresha dig at Beit Guvrin National Park the archeologist explains an underground olive press.  Maresha was destroyed by the Maccabees, thus creating the greatest site for Greek artifacts.

Paula digs for bones and chards.  She puts everything in a bucket.

The diggers, our tour mates, shake the dirt dug up in the caves.  The dirt falls through the ¼” mesh and the bones, pottery shards and gold coins remain.

The dig is protected by an armed guard.

Nearly every building in Israel has a solar water heater.

It is said that if you touch your Zodiacal sign and wish you get your wish.  So far no luck.  In the background is the church commemorating Christianity’s shift from strict Jewish law, such as circumcision and kosher food.

Paula got this from a big ice cream man.
