Hit Counter Visitors

Herod built Caesarea and named it for Augustus.  A lot of Israel reflects Herod’s construction projects.

The Crusaders built a port at Acre.

Napoleon lost his Palestine campaign at Acre.  Still it renewed interest in Palestine, bringing scientists and historians.

Michael, our guide.  Highly informed, philosophical and he knew every rock.  Michael studied at the Jackie Mason School of Tour Guides.

Roman sculptures are Caesarea.  The Romans ruled Israel/Palestine for 700 years.

The Romans/Herod built this 8 mile long aqueduct.  One kilometer run for each meter drop.

Druze spokeslady explains Druze culture which emphasizes reincarnation.   There are 1 million Druze.  No one can join.  Young can chose to be non-observant and then later become observant.  The young lady is non-observant and unmarried.
