• Identified legislative treat to salt brine treatment of off shore oil, coordinated company response, negotiated with environmentalists and achieved legislation, saving Atlantic Richfield $5,000,000

• Identified design change option, proved life cycle cost benefit that changed 50 year US Navy doctrine resulting in changing from steam heat to electric heating the on the DD-963 destroyer, saving $35,000,000 for the US Navy.

• Provided financial analysis and legislative advocacy materials that helped change proposed federal legislation that saved Atlantic Richfield $150,000,000.

• Coordinated proposal that won Litton Ship Systems the Maritime Administration Contract for the study of advanced bulk marine transportation.  Coordinated the project and won the follow-on contract.

• Introduced computer-based mathematical modeling to vessel scheduling and chartering for ARCO Marine Department that reduced cycle time from two weeks to 20 minutes

• Changed the systems design of the Government Affairs Management Information System at Atlantic Richfield, thereby reducing the wall clock time required from 240 to 15 minutes.
